Caring for Your Cats Like They’re Our Own
Mayfair Animal Hospital’s team of staff and veterinarians are pet lovers first and foremost, which is why we recommend that you bring in your kitten or cat for a physical exam each year. We care about keeping your whiskered friend healthy so they’re in your life for the long haul. After our exam, we’ll create a wellness plan curated just for your pet that will keep them happy and carefree for years to come. Onboarding Your Kittens with Ease
Our loving community welcomes all new clients, and if you have new kitten in your family, we’ll want to start their wellness plan early so we can help give them a happy and healthy life.
When you bring your kitten in for their exam, we’ll provide:
- A comprehensive physical
- A vaccination program based on your kitten’s lifestyle
- Internal and external parasite screening and prevention
- Flea, tick, and heartworm prevention
- Behavior and housetraining recommendations
- Nutritional counseling
We also ask that for their first exam, you bring in your kitten’s health information and a fresh stool sample. Please bring your kitten in a secure carrier to safeguard their health and the health of our other feline patients.
We’ll also provide counsel and recommendation on other options for your kitten, including:
- Vaccinations to maximize protection against diseases
- Spaying and neutering, which we highly support
- Microchipping in case your cat becomes lost
We’ll Protect Your Cat’s Nine Lives
Even if your cat resides indoors, they can still be at risk for parasites, infectious diseases, and other health concerns. Whether you have a kitten, adult, or senior cat, we recommend you bring them in once a year for a checkup.
When you bring your cat in, we’ll review topics including:
- Dental care
- Mobility issues
- Age-related changes
Your cat’s exam is also an opportunity for you to voice any concerns or questions you have regarding their health. If we detect any abnormalities in the exam, we may also recommend diagnostic services. At Mayfair Animal Hospital, we’re committed to securing a bright and happy future for you and your cat, which is why our feline care in Cary is of the highest quality.
