In Memory of Dr. John Santilli

Dr. Santilli was born in Boston, Massachusetts but has called Cary home for almost 30 years. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Massachusetts and earned his DVM degree from North Carolina State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1988. 

Dr. Santilli joined Mayfair in 1992 as an Associate Veterinarian.  He became one of the owners of Mayfair in 1995. He is a past president of the Wake County Veterinary Medical Association and is a member of the North Carolina Veterinary Medical Association, American Animal Hospital Association, American Veterinary Medical Association and serves on the advisory board of Trupanion Veterinary Insurance. Dr. Santilli's special interests include small animal orthopedics and surgery.  He enjoys spending time at the beach with his wonderful wife, Leslie, with whom he has two children, Alyson and Michael. He and his wife have one cat, Addy. 

In his free time, Dr. Santilli indulges his passion for coastal living. He is currently building a small coastal cottage by hand and enjoys boating, fishing and surfing. Dr. Santilli also enjoys exploring the offerings of local breweries and eating at small family-owned "food dives".
